Creating a DIY peppermint foot cream with peppermint essential oil is a wonderful way to soothe and refresh tired feet. Here's a simple recipe with measurements for ingredients:

DIY Peppermint Foot Cream:

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup shea butter

- 1/4 cup coconut oil

- 10 drops Comfort Street Essentials peppermint essential oil

- 5 drops Comfort Street Essentials tea tree essential oil (optional, for additional antimicrobial properties)

- 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil (or another carrier oil of your choice- olive, jojoba, avocado)

- Optional: A few drops of vitamin E oil (for added nourishment)

- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder (for a less greasy texture)

Instructions:

1. Prepare a Double Boiler:

- Fill a small saucepan with water and bring it to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl over the saucepan, creating a double boiler.

2. Melt Shea Butter and Coconut Oil:

- Add shea butter and coconut oil to the bowl. Stir occasionally until they are fully melted and well combined.

3. Add Carrier Oils:

- Once melted, add sweet almond oil (or another carrier oil of your choice- olive, jojoba, avocado) to the mixture. Stir to combine.

4. Optional: Add Vitamin E Oil:

- If you're using vitamin E oil, add a few drops to the mixture and stir.

5. Cool Slightly:

- Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes. You want it to be cool enough that the essential oils won't evaporate when added.

6. Add Peppermint and Tea Tree Essential Oils:

- Add 10 drops of Comfort Street Essentials peppermint essential oil and 5 drops of Comfort Street Essentials tea tree essential oil to the mixture. Stir well to distribute the essential oils evenly.

7. Optional: Add Cornstarch or Arrowroot Powder:

- If you prefer a less greasy texture, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of cornstarch or arrowroot powder. This will help absorb excess oil.

8. Transfer to a Container:

- Pour the foot cream into a clean, airtight container or jar. Allow it to cool and solidify completely.

9. How to Use:

- Massage the peppermint foot cream onto your feet, focusing on the heels and any dry or tired areas. Use it as part of your bedtime routine for a soothing and refreshing experience.

Note: Adjust the number of drops of essential oils based on your preferences and sensitivities. Always perform a patch test when using essential oils and discontinue use if irritation occurs. If you have specific health concerns, consult with your physician.
